RCR Medical Centre Mini- Health fair
The Research Center AZP (RC) presented its Meki Tamara project at the RCR Medical Centre Mini- Health fair on Sunday July16. The Meki Tamara project assesses the impact of exposures to neurotoxicants (such as heavy metals and pesticides) on maternal and child health in Suriname. Emphasis was on recruiting pregnant women to participate in the study. The stand was well visited and the visitors had valuable questions about the aim of the project and offered good suggestions to increase recruitment. PI professor Maureen Lichtveld presented to a highly engaged and enthusiastic audience in a packed conference room where she presented. We can look back on a very successful event.
